In Northern Thailand there are very remote hill-tribes that believe the birth of twins brings bad luck to the entire village. When twins are born they are left in the jungle to die, succumbing to the elements or wild animals. This program is under the direction of the founder of Mary's Home, but has been discontinued due to lack of funds. Mercy for Children's goal is to reestablish this program to save the lives of these innocent babies. Rescued twins are placed in a children's home or with a private family.
If We All Give
We Can Do
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. -Hebrews 13:16
Mary's Home is located in, Northern Thailand. The Home was founded in 2010 by Rick Leonard, a Vietnam vet that had a vision for helping poor, under-privileged, and abandoned children. Due to the fact that Thailand has no social services these children would be homeless and most likely become victims of human trafficking and other crimes. Mary's home provides a loving Christian home to twelve children from six to seventeen. House parents are Pichai and Toei, a Thai Christian couple with two children of their own.
